THE MARIAN ANDERSON MUSEUMS HISTORIC RESTORATION 

2021 brought the start of the extensive repair and restoration process for the National Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society which sustained more than a total of $988,000.00 worth of damage from the emergency flood disaster that we faced. in 2022 With the resources that we were blessed to receive we have been able to get some of Marian Anderson's priceless artifacts repaired and restored, a full historic conditions assessment report completed with the help of the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia which fully details the damages and everything that requires repairs and restoration. It is our hope that you will remember the National Marian Anderson Museum with your Winter 2025 gift of giving in support of the recovery repair and restoration process for our treasured National Landmark and programming. 

After a continuous journey the Marian Anderson Museum is on the horizon of working to complete our historic repair and restoration project of the museum and historical landmark after our disastrous flood that we suffered.  To officially reopen the Marian Anderson Museum, we honored the moment with a historic reopening week of events which included a Faith Tribute Service, the Official Ribbon Cutting Re-opening Ceremony at the Marian Anderson Museum with the reopening Exhibit ‘Marian The Philadelphia Story’ and the Opening Night Gala Celebration Event that will take place at the Historic Wanamaker Buildings Crystal Tea Ballroom March 2nd 2025 at 4pm. It is our hope as we go forward that you will want to be participatory and supportive of the Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society's reopening of events.
