The Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society is honored in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia to present a new initiative entitled ‘Marian’s Story… A Readathon Challenge Event. This readathon program is open to everyone children and adults alike and will require you to be challenged to read and study one of several of the books listed of our great Marian Anderson's life, and to have a tour experience at the Marian Anderson Museum to go along with the book that you choose to read. When the participant is finished with the book challenge then they will be awarded with a certificate upon completion at the Marian Anderson Museum. The Readathon Program runs from Now until September 2026. All participating books can be found at the Free Library of Philadelphia Branches.
