IN SERVICE
Faith Tribute Service Honoring Marian Anderson
In partnership with the Marian Anderson Museum and Tindley Temple United Methodist Church

On February 23rd 2025 the Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society will kick off it's Historic Reopening of Events with a Service of Tribute to Marian Anderson and Marian Andersons Mother Anna Rucker Anderson who was a lifetime member and Stewardess of the historic Tindley Temple United Methodist Church on the Avenue of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia located at 750 S. Broad Street. In Partnership with the Marian Anderson Museum and Tindley Temple UMC this sacred Sunday Morning Service will feature a divine musical tribute, historic readings, remarks from honored dignitaries and the homily will be brought forth by historic leader of the Mother Bethel AME Church Reverend Carolyn Cavaness. Following Service, we will make our way to the front of the church to have a Rededication Ceremony for the Newly Restored historic Tindley Temple Gold Cross which will once again hang beautifully on the exterior of the church.
A celebratory reception will follow the cross re-dedication in the Ralph Jones Fellowship Hall of the Church.
Worship and Celebrate with us in the Community. For more information call the Marian Anderson Museum office @ 215-779-4219 or visit our website www.marianandersonhistoricalsociety.weebly.com
