The Marian Anderson Museum & Historical Society is thrilled to announce our 31 st Anniversary Gala event. As we welcome the nations semiquincentennial, it is thrilling to share that the theme of the Anniversary Gala is the Masked Ball which is a great tribute to our Marian Andersons historic debut at the Metropolitan Opera in Giuseppe Verdi’s ‘The Masked Ball’ opera in 1955. The Marian Anderson Museum 31 st Anniversary Celebration Event that will take place at the Historic Wanamaker Buildings Crystal Tea Ballroom on March 1 st 2026 at 5pm. The Marian Anderson Museum has been dedicated to the preservation of Marian Anderson's life and legacy through yearly thematic exhibits as well as educational & Concert performance programming which is the Marian Anderson Scholar Artists Program. Now more than ever the Marian Anderson Museum needs support to carry our historic preservation and programming into the future for generations to come.
